Chelsea and Juventus ‘in talks to sign Atletico Madrid defender’ – Wednesday’s transfer gossip

Chelsea and Italian champions Juventus are battling to land Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic.

According to Sky Italia, the ex-Manchester City centre-half is wanted by the duo this summer.

Savic, 27, is back up to Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez at the Wanda Metropolitano.

He still managed to make 36 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side last term, but after three seasons is reportedly keen to move.

Juventus are looking to bolster their defensive ranks with some younger faces, while Chelsea are looking for reinforcements as they bid to return to the top four.
