Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater to make summer move across London? Monday’s transfer news and gossip

Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater could make a summer transfer across London to West Ham.

That is according to talkSPORT, who say the Blues outcast could leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season after a frustrating first season in the capital.

Drinkwater has struggled for first-team football since his move from Leicester and Foxes director of football Eduardo Macia is reportedly being lined up by the Hammers to aid in transfers.

The 28-year-old joined Chelsea for £35million after helping Leicester to an unlikely title triumph and breaking into the England side.

But he has failed to rekindle the partnership he struck up with N’Golo Kante in the East Midlands and has struggled with injuries.
