Rachel McDonald, managing director of Dentsu Aegis Network North, said the seminars will help companies navigate the unprecedented change driven by the growth and evolution of the digital economy.

She said: “Change of almost unprecedented scale is washing over the global economy. Technology is powering a new breed of customer: one with information at their fingertips and the power to shape relationships with only the brands of their choice.

“Unsurprisingly, many businesses are struggling to keep pace with the impact of global technology platforms that are disrupting traditional customer relationships. And using up huge amounts of resource adapting and planning for a future where technology is ever more immersive and powerful.

“The digital economy is not just about digitising existing processes and business models. It is a fundamental revolution of the traditional economic model, creating opportunities and challenges for business growth.

“This complicated and constantly changing world is one in which marketing can be a powerful force for growth if you know how to unlock the potential of the rapidly evolving media ecosystem. The key lies in understanding and responding to the needs of a new breed of customer whose expectations are higher than ever.”
