Jose Mourinho is set to add Fred to his midfield this summer, but the Manchester United boss well have the opportunity to add another – and one whom he really covets.
According to reports from Calcio Mercato, the Red Devils have been offered the chance to take PSG midfielder Marco Verratti this summer.
The Italian international apparently wants out of the Parc des Princes and his agent, Mino Raiola, is looking to make that happen.
It’s been suggested that Verratti has met with new PSG boss Thomas Tuchel already, but that the German reportedly told him to lose weight.
Now, his future is very much in the air.
United ditch Danny Rose transfer interest
The Old Trafford giants have pulled the plug on a potential £50million swoop for Tottenham’s England left-back.
Boss Jose Mourinho believes he now has enough options at the position, with Ashley Young and Luke Shaw having been joined by Diogo Dalot, their teenage new signing from Portuguese giants Porto.
Mourinho has now told executive vice chairman Ed Woodward that adding Rose to his squad is no longer a priority.
