Spartak Moscow doctor bans players from SEX ahead of crunch Champions League clash against Liverpool

Spartak Moscow’s doctor has banned players from having sex ahead of their clash with Liverpool in the Champions League.

The Reds need at least a point against the Russian outfit to secure their progression to the last 16, but Spartak have a secret weapon in the shape of Victoria Gameeva.

Gameeva, a fully trained cardiologist, believes sex immediately before a match will hinder Spartak’s players.

In an interview with local media, she said: “From a medical point of view sex stimulates the ability to work only in women.

“In martial arts it happens that a female athlete could fight just five or ten minutes after having sex and her results would be better.

“But it works other way round for men. They should avoid sex two or three days before the football game.”

Gameeva is no stranger to a revealing Instagram post, and admits Spartak players have complimented her after seeing the social media uploads.

But she insists her relationship with players is strictly professional.

“I do not support any type of relations except for patient-doctor,” she added.
