Clement to reunite with Ancelotti?
Reading boss Paul Clement has been sounded out by Napoli about reuniting with Carlo Ancelotti at the Serie A club.
Current Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, who is on Chelsea’s wishlist, is set to leave after leading the club to second place this season.
He has showdown talks with Napoli owner Aurelio di Laurentiis tomorrow.
But Napoli have already approached Ancelotti about taking over next season – and he wants Clement to return as his assisatnt.
The two worked together at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich before Clement took the Swansea job in January last year.
He saved them from relegation but was sacked in December – and took over at Reading in March. Clement, now 46, won only two out of eight Championship matches as the Royals only avoided relegation by three points.
Clement re-united with Ancelotti at Bayern Munich in 2016 after taking charge of Derby for 33 games in 2015-16.
The Italian turned down the Italy job and a £10m offer to coach Saudi Arabia at the World Cup to return to club football.
Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg are also interested in the Italian.
