Travel firm Cruise1st opens store featuring VR tech
Travel firm Cruise1st has opened a store which allows customers the chance to explore a cruise ship using VR tech.
The 5,000 sq ft concept store at the Lowry Outlet in Salford features VR goggles which allow the customer to experience the feeling of being on a cruise ship.
Customers will get specialist cruise knowledge from onsite travel agents, who will help identify lines, ships and itineraries from cruise company’s including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Azamara Club Cruises, P&O, Princess Cruises, Cunard Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, MSC Cruise Lines and Marella Cruise Lines, plus River Cruise suppliers.
The new store will also house a 48-strong call centre team.
Managing director Danial Townsley said: “We’re thrilled to open our very first concept store at Lowry Outlet this week to cater for the North West’s large cruise demographic. Our new store is educational, comfortable and an environment where technology and virtual experiences will give our customers a richer experience that no other travel agent selling cruise can offer.
“The store complements our TV Cruise Channel, Online and Print media and will help increase our new to cruise customer portfolio.”
Cruise1st is the latest new store to open at Lowry Outlet following Beauty Outlet, Christy and recent pop-up stores Caricachoo, Calendar Club and an ongoing collaboration with The Fashion Network.
